OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAJanuary 15, 2015 – Segment 4

We turn our attention to Curtis Bay, where a group of remarkable students form Benjamin Franklin High School are fighting the construction of a proposed incinerator plant.  The proposed sight of the plant is within one mile of 2 public elementary and high schools and will burn up to 4,000 tons of Waste per day.  Their fight was recently covered in a New York Times article highlighting a disturbing nationwide “waste-to-energy” trend.
