September 27, 2010 – Segment 2

This Saturday, October 2nd, a broad coalition of progressive organizations will band together to bring people to Washington, DC, to demand economic reform that helps everyone, not just those at the top.  The One Nation Working Together movement is an unprecedented cooperation between groups such as the NAACP, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, organized labor, student groups, and many others, in an attempt to demonstrate that the Tea Party does not speak for the majority of working Americans.

Today we’re joined by some of the organizers heading up the One Nation effort here in Maryland.  Our guests are:

Fred Mason, President of the Maryland and DC AFL-CIO, and co-chair of the Maryland Organizing Committee of the One Nation event
Gerald Stansbury, President of the Anne Arundel County NAACP, and co-chair of the Maryland Organizing Committee of the One Nation event
Morgan Meneses-Sheets, Executive Director of Equality Maryland
