The collapse of Rupert Murdoch’s British tabloid empire has opened conversations world-wide about journalistic ethics, the role of media in democracy, and objectivity in political coverage.  Today we’re joined by two media observers to discuss the state of journalism in America and world-wide.

Sheri Parks is Associate Professor in the American Studies Department at the University of Maryland, and author most recently of Fierce Angels: The Strong Black Woman in American Life and Culture

Bob Somerby is the Editor of the Daily Howler
