In the first half of Hour 1, Marc talks with Aneesh Chopra, the first Federal Chief Technology Officer of the United States (CTO), who previously served as the Secretary of Technology for Virginia. Marc and the CTO explore his ambitious goals for education, Internet security and job creation. In the second half, we rebroadcast a live interview from January 21, 2004, with renowned science fiction author Octavia Butler. The recipient of a MacArthur "Genius" Grant and both the Hugo and Nebula awards, Butler passed away in February 2006.
