We look at the ways Maryland residents are denied mental health care they’re entitled to through private insurance. We’re joined by Adrienne Ellis, director of the Maryland Parity Project at the Mental Health Association of Maryland, Ellen Weber, a professor of law at the University of Maryland School of Law, and Maya, a Montgomery County mother who was unable to secure insurance reimbursements for prescribed, residential mental health treatment for her adolescent son.
