Spence, Political Science Professor at Johns Hopkins University and author of the article "White Space, Black Space" in this month's issue of Urbanite Magazine, which highlights conversations about race. Dr. Spence examines the concept of self-segregation, and why it can be exhausting for a member of one race to negotiate a space dominated by another.
