Then, we continue our reflection on the life of Maya Angelou with: Afaa Michael Weaver, poet and Baltimore native, winner of the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award; and Dr. Karsonya Wise Whitehead, Assistant Professor of Communication and African and African American Studies at Loyola University Maryland and author of the new book, Notes from a Colored Girl: The Civil War Pocket Diaries of Emilie Frances Davis.
