June 18, 2012 – Hour 2

Today on the Steiner Show, Director of the NAACP’s Washington Bureau Hilary Shelton, Sr. and independent journalist for the Examiner Hassan Giordano join us to talk about several incidents of police shootings around the country, including a recent case here in Baltimore County in which an unarmed teen was strangled and killed by an off-duty police officer.  With the passing of Rodney King this weekend, shortly after the 20th anniversary of the LA Riots this spring, we’ll discuss the ongoing legacy of racial bias in the judicial system and police departments, and creative and radical solutions for working towards a more equitable system.
