In the wake of a survey that showed that transgendered people attempt suicide at more than 25 times the national rate, as well as a recent spike in suicides among gay youth, we’re joined today by Catherine Hyde, the mother of a transgendered child.  Despite Maryland’s relatively strong anti-bullying laws, her child has faced almost daily bullying in the Howard County Public School System.  She joins us today to discuss how we can end harassment of children who question their gender identity.
