March 8, 2011 – Hour 1

It’s time for our monthly visit from Meshelle, and today she joins us remotely from the 22nd Annual National Youth-at-Risk Conference in Savannah Georgia.  She’ll tell us what leaders from across the country are doing to help ensure our children grow up in safe and stable environments.  Then we’ll discuss some programs for youth in Baltimore and DC, and what upcoming budget cuts could mean for them.  Joining us are:
Tanya Calendar, Director of the Dream Academy, an after school program at Ferebee-Hope Elementary School in Washington DC
Koli Tengella, a 2011 OSI Fellow who runs a theatre group with children in East Baltimore
