July 13, 2010 – Segment 3

Last month we traveled to the U.S. Social Forum in Detroit, where we met with some of the 18,000 activists who gathered under the slogan "Another World is Possible, Another U.S. is Necessary."  The Beehive Design Collective is a group of artists and activists who are working to create that new world.  They try to make history accessible by representing social justice struggles as large-scale graphic artworks.  We stopped in at their booth and talked with new collective member Erin about their newest work, The True Cost of Coal.  Click here to see the poster and follow along as Erin explains it, and be sure to check out their other works and their tour schedule on their website.
