Soon-to-be GOP presidential-nominee Mitt Romney caused quite a stir with his “birther” joke this past weekend. Some critics accused him of perpetuating racist rhetoric in the general election. We will examine Romney’s remarks, race and racism in the general election with Color Lines writer Sally Kohn, University of Virgina associate professor Gerard Alexander and political analyst Earl Ofari Hutchinson.
