April 14, 2010 – Segment 2

We take a look at our earliest ancestors in the second segment of today’s show, which spotlights the new Hall of Human Origins at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. The hall offers a chance to explore the history of human evolution, and includes statues, cast right here in Baltimore, that give us a realistic view of what our ancestors looked like.

We speak with Briana Pobiner, a paleoanthropologist who was involved in creating the new hall. She’s the Science Outreach & Education Program Specialist for the Smithsonian’s Human Origins Program.
