Our guest is Masha Gessen, author of Words Will Break Cement: The Passion of Pussy Riot and The Man Without a Face: The Unlikely Rise of Vladimir Putin. Gessen left her home in Russia to move to the United States with her partner and three children and escape homophobic persecution.
