2/14 New Poll

Happy Valentines Day, everyone. I hope you all have a wonderful day! New Poll! Poll: Are you going to the Feb 20th Community Advisory Board Meeting? Here is a picture of the Heart Nebula. Isn't it beautiful? If you like this kind of stuff, I highly recommend you hightail it to the Walters Art Museum, where they have a whole exhibition of photographs from the Hubble Telescope.

No profits for me, post slogan/design suggestions!

Jessica, with regard to the poll/CAB meeting, would you be able to give us the Fall 2007 ratings numbers in advance of the meeting? What are the real numbers for Maryland Morning, News and Notes, The Steiner Show, Signal, Talk of the Nation, etc.? If you can, please indicate if the numbers reflect only Metro Baltimore, or include the Frederick/Ocean City repeaters. Could you provide numbers for the three audiences seperately?

Link to GoogleMap for the BoD meeting on Smith Avenue:

I’ll make one more effort to see if I can do a labeled link. This is only a test:

    Ron: You passed!

  5. Ron Counsell says:

    Chris: I wish!

    Another try, though:

Does anyone know if using labeled links in comments is possible? If so, can you figure out a way to post the info, or a link to how to do it? Far as I know, my last attempt used exactly the same construction Jessica used in the main post (for the link to the Walters), but the code didn’t work in my comment.

  7. Chris Merriam says:

Feel free to consult me for all your HTML needs. 😉

  8. William A Irgens says:

I believe the google, yahoo, & mapquest maps showing the location of the Marbury Building are incorrect. The Marbury Building is located on the Hopkins Mt Washington Center site. Go North on Greely Rd @ the intersection with Smith Ave. It’s the big green building visible from I-83, the Jones Falls Expwy.

  9. Ron Counsell says:

Chris, I copied your code from View Source, IE 6. The links I post go to a Not Found page. My links are getting edited by this site’s software somehow, apparently. The result definitely is not what I posted.

When you cliclk on my link labels, do you also go to the Not Found page?

  10. Ron Counsell says:

Aaaah, that feels good. The site software was inserting quotes.

I know nothing about HTML. I try to learn by imitating my betters. Thans, Chris.

  11. Couple of things about the CAB meeting. Please let me know if you’d like me to email you a flyer I did for it so we can pass it out around town before Wednesday. The doors open at 6:30 – so it’s first come, first seated. Obtaining hard data on ratings numbers and focus of Marc’s show is in the works. Directions to the Marbury Building for the 3/12 BOD meeting at 3pm are: Go west over the Kelly Avenue Bridge toward Mt. Washington village, stay in the right lane as you go through 2 lights, keeping the Mt. Washington Veterinary Clinic on your right, go to the next light, Smith Avenue, and make a left. Go down Smith past the white picket fence on the right, round the curve and turn right at the two brick walls that say 6225 Smith Avenue. Go straight to the top of the hill to the very large green glass building.

As Marc and Jessica say often – this is about not just Marc, but the future of WYPR. Management and the BOD have done something fundamentally wrong – their actions have exposed the real operation of this station – and it’s up to us to force change. It’s our station!!
