Join us for a conversation about the upcoming Fair Development Conference, which will take place this Friday - Sunday at 2640 St. Paul Street.  Activists and organizers from as far away as the Dominican Republic will be convening to share strategies and success stories about the struggle for equitable development in their communities. On Sunday the conference will culminate in the Haunted Harbor March, which will highlight workers' rights struggles in the area with a ghoulish Halloween twist.

Joining us to discuss the importance of making sure that workers and communities - not just developers - reap the benefits of economic development are:

Ashley Hufnagel, Leadership Organizer with the United Workers
Raymond Scott, a former worker at an Inner Harbor restaurant and a member of the Human Rights Council of the United Workers
Sarah Weintraub, a member and organizer at the Vermont Workers' Center, which led the successful campaign for single-payer health care in Vermont
Marian Kramer, a long-time advocate and organizer for civil rights and welfare rights and the former chair of the Michigan Welfare Rights Organization
