Artist Mel Chin is on a mission to bring attention to the problem of lead in New Orleans soil. His Fundred project is a participatory art project where people across the nation draw hundred dollar bills. Chin’s goal is to deliver 3 million of the Fundreds to Congress and exchange them for enough money to clean up New Orleans. MICA graduate student Ashby Foote is organizing Fundred efforts for Baltimore and the state of Maryland, and she and Chin sat down today to discuss the effort with Marc.
