In the second half of the show Marc speaks with hip hop artist and Muslim-American Hamza Perez, subject of the documentary New Muslim Cool. He speaks about the growing population of Latino Muslims and what it means to make music for social change. Then author Bakari Kitwana discusses the importance of hip hop. He is the author of The Hip Hop Generation: Young Blacks and the Crisis in African American Culture.
