Historian Nell Irvin Painter joins us to talk about her recent book, The History of White People.Ranging from a discussion of Caesar's descriptions of outlying tribes in ancient Europe to a look at present-day America, the book takes a comprehensive look at who is defined as "white," how that has changed over time, and how people come to be included or excluded in that group.
