We close out the show with a special treat, as we flash back to the popular show Soul Train. Our guests will include: Ericka Blount Danois, author of Love, Peace and Soul: Behind the Scenes of America’s Favorite Dance Show, Soul Train: Classic Moments; Damita Jo Freeman, one of the most popular dancers on the show, who danced with James Brown and Joe Tex and later choreographed for Mick Jagger and Cher; Tamechi Tony Briggs, a dancer on the show and clothes designer who created the Hammer pants and helped to created MC Hammer’s image; Jerome Simmons, photographer for the local Chicago version of the show; and Nick Puzo, creator of Soul Train Fans group, who has seen almost every one of the show’s 1100 episodes.

Ericka Blount Danois will discuss and sign copies of Love, Peace, and Soul: Behind the Scenes of America’s Favorite Dance Show Soul Train: Classic Moments at 2 p.m. this Saturday, March 8th, at the Reginald F.
