We start out the hour with an interview with David Cay Johnston, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, formerly of the NY Times and author of Free Lunch: How the Wealthiest Americans Enrich Themselves at Government Expense and Stick You With The Bill (2007). Marc talked with David about his recent post at Poynter Online, "Ask tough questions about the bailout."

For the rest of the show, we assembled a studio panel to discuss the results of a recent AP – Yahoo poll that revealled some disturbing insights into the role race is playing in the presidential election. We heard from Stacey Peterson, Assistant Professor of Communications at the College of Notre Dame and Lea Gilmore, a renowned singer, activist, and Culture Editor for CEM.
