Wintley Phipps is a pastor, education activist, and two-time Grammy nominated gospel singer, whose rendition of Amazing Grace has garnered almost 7 million hits on You Tube.  He performed at the Inagural Prayer Breakfast for President Obama, and has also performed for the last five U.S. presidents.  As Founder and CEO of the U.S. Dream Academy, Phipps he has built a program that matches mentors with children whose parents are incarcerated, to offer them support that is often lacking in the traditional education system.  He joined us today to discuss his career, the principles behind the Dream Academy, and his upcoming performance here in Baltimore.
