October 27, 2009 – Hour 1

We open the hour with an update from Kimberly Schultz, Director of Communications for the Office of the Public Defender, on the Public Defender Hearing.

Next, a follow up on the hearing determining whether or not limited service crisis pregnancy centers will have to disclose if they don’t offer birth control counseling or abortion services. We talk with Vinnie Demarco, Executive Director of the Maryland Citizen’s Health Initiative.

For the rest of the hour, Media Matters recently ran a thorough examination of Fox News and network President Roger Aile’s long history of race-baiting. We’ll play some clips and talk with Eric Boehlert, Senior Fellow at Media Matters, about how fair and unbiased the network has proven to be.
