November 18, 2010 – Hour 1

In this week’s episode of On Delmarva, we continue our series of conversations with Delmarva farmers.  Up first, third-generation farmer Ted Wycall of Greenbranch Farm in Salisbury, MD, tells us how he turned the land that his grandfather used for industrial chicken farming into a diverse and self-sustaining organic farm.  Then, we’ll speak with Steele Phillips, who operated a 762 acre farm in Dorchester County for more than 50 years.  Finally, commentator Tom Horton considers what it means to be a radical environmentalist.
