On our show today Dr. Kaye sits in as a guest host. She is Associate Professor of Communication and African and African American Studies at Loyola University Maryland, and the author of several books, including Letters to My Black Sons: Raising Boys in a Post-Racial America, and the award-winning Notes From A Colored Girl: The Civil War Pocket Diaries of Emile Frances Davis.

We host a local news roundtable, where we’ll talk about a videotaped fight at Frederick Douglass High School. With Dr. Roni Ellington, Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at Morgan State University; Heru of Urban Youth Initiative Project and the Pan-Afrikan Liberation Movement; A.F. James MacArthur, blogger for the Baltimore Spectator; Dr. Ray Winbush Director of the Institute for Urban Research at Morgan State University.
