We begin our show with a discussion of the Common Core Curriculum. Our guests are: Dr. Sandra Stotsky, former member of Common Core’s Validation Committee (2009-2010) and Professor Emerita of Education at the University of Arkansas; and Dr. Morna McDermott, one of the administrators for Opt Out and co-organizer of Occupy the Department of Education.

There will be a Common Core Forum hosted by the PTA Council of Howard County (PTACHC) and the Howard County Education Association (our teacher’s union) on Sunday, December 8th from 5pm – 8pm in Fulton, Maryland. The event will be held in the auditorium of Reservoir High School, 11550 Scaggsville Road, Fulton, Maryland.
