August 3, 2011 – Segment 2

Join us for another Theatre Baltimore conversation.  Today we’ll speak with members of Baltimore’s DIY Theatre Scene about next week’s Ten Minute Play Festival at the Bell Foundry in Station North.  DIY stands for Do It Yourself, and our guests join us to discuss why they’re opting out of the big regional theatres and choosing to create plays in backyards, living rooms, and basements all over the city.
The Ten Minute Play Festival is a four night extravaganza of 14 short plays, written, directed, and performed by a diverse group of Baltimore artists, musicians, theatre-regulars, and theatre-beginners.
We’re joined by:
Lola Pierson, founder of The Un Saddest Factory Theatre Company and author of Tide Pool in this year’s festival
Sam Shea, member of the Copycat Theatre and director of Bath Time Is Fun Time
Tim Paggi, member of the Annex Theatre and author of Lone Drummer

The Un Saddest Factory Theatre Company’s Third Annual Ten Minute Play Festival

A Night: August 11th and 13th
