How many undocumented immigrant children and children of undocumented immigrants are in Maryland public school systems?
How many dialects and distinct languages are represented in the Maryland school population of undocumented immigrant students and children of undocumented immigrants?
Does Dr. Alonso have this information for Baltimore City? Do Maryland superintendents/CEOs have this information for their districts? Are they mandated to have it? Are they prohibited from having it? Do the answers to these questions matter in any way? Does anyone care? Do the answers affect state legislation and policy/funding decisions?
What legislation/policy/funding decisions, if any, are affected in any way by whether immigrants in the public school system are "legal" or "illegal"?
