Busch, Miller also confirmed; two hour special will air on WEAA 88.9 FM

Baltimore, Maryland - December 18, 2008

Marc Steiner announced today that he will be hosting the 6th annual Annapolis Political Summit on January 14th, 2009 at Phillips Seafood Restaurant in Annapolis. Governor Martin O’Malley, Senate President Thomas Mike Miller and Speaker of the House Michael Erin Busch have all confirmed they will be participating at the morning event.

“I’m thrilled to be hosting the Annapolis Political Summit for the 6th year in a row,” said Marc Steiner. “Considering the fiscal crisis, this is going to be a tough year in Annapolis.  I look forward to hearing from the leaders of our government about how they plan to address these issues.”

“Having this air on Maryland’s NPR member station WEAA 88.9 FM is very exciting,” Steiner added. “WEAA has been a fantastic home for The Marc Steiner Show since last spring, and I’m very excited that it is involved in hosting and airing the Annapolis Political Summit.”

The 6th Annual Annapolis Political Summit will take place on January 14th, the day the 426th legislative session in Annapolis kicks off.  It will be held at Phillips Seafood Restaurant at 12 Dock Street in Annapolis.  The event will begin at 7:00am with a breakfast buffet.  Senate President Miller and Speaker Michael Busch will be interviewed by Marc Steiner from 7:30-8:30.  Governor Martin O’Malley will be interviewed from 8:30-9:30.  Tickets are $15 if purchased in advance by emailing steinershow@gmail.com, by calling (443) 934-1111 or online.  Tickets will also be available at the door for $20.

Qualified members of the media are invited to attend the interview portion of the event free of charge but they must register by emailing steinershow@gmail.com or by calling (443) 934-1111. If they wish to enjoy the breakfast buffet they must purchase a $15 ticket.
