Production Internship

The Marc Steiner Show on Baltimore NPR affiliate station WEAA 88.9FM is currently looking for production interns to help with all aspects of our daily live show. The Steiner Show focuses on everything from Baltimore to international news, from arts and culture to history and philosophy, and more.

The internship schedule is flexible, but a minimum commitment of 2 days a week for at least three months is expected. Ideally, an intern would be available during the production hours of our live show: 8:30am-11:30am. Prospective interns not available in the morning hours may be able to work with us at other times. No prior experience in radio is necessary. However, we expect all interns to be motivated self-starters. Interns should have a strong communication, writing, research skills. Experience with audio/film editing, WordPress, and social media is a plus.

Sound Bites documentary recording at the Baltimore Free Farm

Environmental Radio Internship

We are looking for a couple interns interested in food, agriculture, the environment, and radio! We produce a weekly, hour-long series called Sound Bites, focusing on the future of the food system, agriculture and the environment on the Eastern Shore, Baltimore and beyond. Prospective interns should be creative thinkers able to deliver on independent tasks.

Internship tasks include: research and production on our Sound Bites series; web and social media development; field recording and editing. The internship schedule is flexible, but a minimum commitment of 2 days a week for at least three months is expected.
